We recently completed a Crazy Paving Pond Refurbishment in Tavistock, Devon.
The garden was to a high standard and was let down a bit by a dodgy water level and lack of useful pond plant areas.
The team drained the pond and moved all the plants and fish into a holding tank whilst the work was carried out.
A skip was brought in as the pond was extended in length, depth and width. So there was plenty of soil going spare. The old paving was removed. The slate was kept for use within the new pond and waste concrete was disposed of.
Out with the old Crazy Paving Pond and in with the new!
Once we were all happy with the new shape; underlay and a new EPDM liner was put in place.
The old natural slate was used to build a wall around the pond. This was for both visual effect and also to provide an area for pond plants to be added securely, keeping them contained and making sure they don’t blow over!
Then came the finishing touches. The electrics were upgraded to outdoor twin sockets for the new pond lights and all-in-1 pump/filter fountains.
Grass turf (from Tavy Turf) was added when everything was complete to finish the area off nicely, ready for the client to enjoy.
