A practical, ecological approach

Water that belongs in its landscape

Good pond work is not only about excavation or a liner. Levels, water movement, access, planting, banks, materials and long-term maintenance all affect how the finished waterbody performs.

We bring those decisions together, whether the project is a small wildlife pond, a lake restoration, a new wetland or a natural place to swim.

Understand the sitePurpose, water, ground conditions, access and the surrounding landscape.
Build for habitatUseful depths, varied margins, planting zones and naturalistic structure.
Plan for longevityPractical access, sensible aftercare and solutions that can mature well.

How we work

From first look to long-term care

The exact route depends on the site, but the thinking stays joined up from early advice through practical delivery.

Understand

We start with what you want to achieve, photographs, dimensions, access and what is already known about the site.

Shape

We identify the sensible scope, likely constraints, materials, planting and the right level of design or investigation.

Deliver

Construction and restoration are planned around water, ground conditions, machinery access and protection of the wider site.

Care

We explain what to expect as the waterbody establishes and can provide maintenance, planting support and practical aftercare.

When a site visit is worthwhile

Straightforward enquiries start free

Send photographs, the location, approximate dimensions and what you want the water to achieve. We review that information first, at no charge. Where the problem, design or site conditions need to be understood before useful advice or a credible quotation can be given, we recommend a professional assessment.

Professional site assessment from £500 + VAT
  • Site meeting and practical inspection
  • Main constraints, options and realistic next steps
  • A concise follow-up summary and early budget guidance where possible

Follow-on credit: £250 + VAT is credited to the first works invoice when SAS Aquatics is commissioned within six months for qualifying construction or major refurbishment of £10,000 + VAT or more. Written reports, specialist work and travel supplements are excluded; eligibility is confirmed before the visit.
