SAS Aquatics plans, coordinates and delivers ponds, wetlands, river features and wider habitat restoration. We are strengthening our network of ecologists, surveyors, specialist contractors, suppliers and practical habitat professionals across Devon, Cornwall and the wider South West.

A habitat partner network for Devon, Cornwall and the South West
Water and habitat projects rarely sit within one neat trade. A wetland may need hydrology, ecological survey work, earthworks, tree advice, water-control structures, planting and long-term management. A farm pond or river-backwater project may also need permissions, mapping, protected-species input or grant evidence.
We already work with trusted ecologists, arboricultural specialists, plant operators and habitat practitioners. This network is about building that capacity carefully, so more projects can move from an idea or report into practical, well-coordinated delivery.
SAS Aquatics remains the project lead where that is our agreed role. We can bring in the right specialist input, coordinate a practical team, or support another organisation’s project where our pond, wetland and water-management services are the missing part.

Ecologists, surveyors and environmental specialists
Preliminary ecological appraisal, habitat condition and BNG work, protected-species surveys, freshwater and river ecology, arboricultural surveys, hydrology, topographical survey, GIS, drone mapping, monitoring and technical reporting.
People who turn evidence into a buildable plan
Wetland, pond, river and natural flood management design; drainage and water-control advice; landscape input; planning and permitting; grant support; specifications, drawings and costed delivery packages.
Skilled contractors who understand habitat
Plant operators, groundworkers, tree teams, fencing and timber specialists, stonework, river restoration, invasive-species management, habitat maintenance, aquatic planting and people comfortable working carefully around water and wildlife.
Suppliers and niche specialists
Native and aquatic plant nurseries, seed suppliers, lining and water-control materials, monitoring equipment, fisheries input, specialist fabrication, boardwalks, interpretation and other services that make a habitat project stronger.

We are not trying to create a loose directory. The value comes from knowing who can genuinely help, matching people to the right project and keeping responsibilities clear.
Good collaborators communicate early, work safely, respect ecological constraints and are straightforward about cost, capacity and uncertainty. We apply the same approach in our own wetland and rewilding work and planning, grant and environmental support.

We review each person or organisation and select project partners according to the actual scope, location, qualifications, insurance, availability and client requirements. Commercial terms and responsibilities are agreed separately for each piece of work.
