What the initial assessment does
- Reviews visible condition, system information and practical options.
- It is not automatically a structural report, intrusive leak test, laboratory analysis, detailed design or planning application.
- A £250 + VAT credit applies to qualifying construction or refurbishment of at least £10,000 + VAT commissioned within six months.
- Specialist surveys, opening-up work or water analysis are agreed separately where useful.

Before specifying an upgrade
Can green water or blanketweed be fixed?
Often it can be improved, but the cause may involve nutrients, sunlight, debris, planting, circulation or treatment performance. The useful intervention depends on which pressures are actually present.
Does the filtration system need replacing?
Not necessarily. Cleaning, maintenance, altered flow or a targeted component change may be enough. Replacement is justified only when condition, capacity or design makes the existing equipment unsuitable.
Will refurbishment require a new liner?
Only where liner condition, detailing or the proposed structural changes make replacement necessary. A sound waterproofing system should not be replaced without reason.
Can a fully natural pond become hybrid?
Sometimes. Space for equipment, hydraulics, power, access and the effect on planting and appearance all need to be considered before adding treatment technology.
Is refurbishment cheaper than rebuilding?
